The safety and wellbeing of our guests and employees are always a top priority at the Hotel Century Southern Tower. Arising from the impact of the novel corona virus (COVID-19), the Hotel Century Southern Tower has ramped up its efforts on ensuring that the protection of the health and safety of our guests and employees is its highest priority.
We have signed a consulting contract with the M-Three Group’s CUC Inc. and will make some changes to our business while taking measures to prevent the spread of infection based on evidence from a medical point of view.
In this regard, the hotel has had to scale back its operations to help prevent the spread of the virus. Consistent with this effort, our restaurant and lounge operations will be reduced with limited items offered on the menu.
In keeping with the above, we have implemented stringent COVID-19 precautionary hygiene and self–protection measures throughout the hotel as per below to help prevent infections such as wearing surgical masks and disinfecting hands with high-concentration (67.1%) alcohol for all our benefit:
・High concentration (67.1%) Alcohol-based hand sanitizers have been placed throughout the hotel in all public spaces such as at the entrance, the Front Reception Desk, and in all our
public washrooms for your safety and convenience.
・Regular cleaning and alcohol-based sanitizing processes of the hotel facilities have been enhanced.
・To safeguard the health and well-being of our guests and staff, it is mandatory for all our employees to wear surgical masks.
・The “THREE-Cs” effect mitigation policy (Compact / Cluster・Closed・Confined) has been enforced. There should be NO more than FIVE or SIX people per elevator and in the Smoking Room. Guests are asked to PLEASE maintain a physical distance of 1 to 2 meters (3 to 6 feet).
For the Guests:
Room / Accommodation
The measures listed below will be taken to help prevent contact and droplet infections. As a result, some guest services will be suspended after check-in to limit our staff entering guests’ rooms as much as possible.
・Guests are required to wear face masks during their stay except in their room.
・Guests are required to keep a physical distance of 1 to 2 meters (3 to 6 feet) when they wait in line at the reception desk.
・Guests are required to take their body temperature using the non-contact AI infrared temperature detection camera(*1), sanitize their hands, and fill out the “Health Self-Check Sheet” provided at check-in.
・Guests who register a fever, will be required to report their body temperature twice a day for the duration of their stay.
・If you have recently arrived (visitors) / returned to Japan (residents), kindly be advised that you will be required to abide by the hotel’s special rules during your stay with us.
・Protective clear acrylic screen has been installed at the front desk counters.
・A payment tray will be used for placing your cash or credit cards during payment.
・Our staff will be required to sanitize their hands at check-in, check-out, when handling guests luggage, and when processing delivery service.
・We have enhanced our post check-out room sanitization. After guests check-out, the rooms will be thoroughly sanitized. Special attention will be paid to frequently touched surfaces and heavily-trafficked areas. Additionally, the guests room doors will be left opened for full ventilation.
・Our cleaning staff is required to thoroughly wash their hands, gargle and sanitize properly before and after cleaning each room.
・Our Concierge Desk is temporarily closed until further notice.
・Our In-room Massage Service is temporarily suspended until further notice.
*1 : The non-contact ‘Face Four’ AI infrared temperature detection camera for human body auto-temperature screening and fever detection system is installed in the common areas throughout the hotel.
The system records and stores photographed images (personal information) of guests’ faces for a defined period of time exclusively for the purpose of temperature measurement and other health and safety related purposes. The recorded images of our guests’ faces will not be used by the hotel for any other purposes (except as otherwise specified in the Personal Information Protection Law).
The following measures will be implemented to limit the number of dining guests in order to help prevent contact and droplet infections:
・Guests are required to wear a face mask, sanitize their hands, and check their body temperature using the non-contact AI infrared temperature detection camera before entering our Restaurant and Lounge.
・Adequate physical distance between the seats and tables will be observed to help avoid the “THREE-Cs” effect (Compact / Cluster・Closed・Confined). Additionally, we also now stagger reservations to allow for proper sanitization and guard against the “THREE-Cs” effect.
・All guests are required to sanitize their hands with the High concentration (67.1%) Alcohol-based hand sanitizers provided in the restaurants and lounge upon entering and at each serving station.
・Our staff is required to thoroughly sanitize their hands properly.
・Protective clear acrylic screens have been erected at the cashier counters.
・A payment tray will be used for placing your cash or credit cards during payment.

Private, Party and Meeting Rooms on the 21st floor
The following enhanced measures will be implemented to help prevent contact and droplet infections:
・Guests are required to wear a face mask, sanitize their hands, and take a temperature check using the non-contact AI infrared temperature detection camera before entering our Private, Party and Meeting Rooms on the 21st floor.
・Guests are required to sanitize their hands with the sanitizers provided in the hall and at the entrance of each room.
・Tables and chairs will be arranged with sufficient spacing between them to help avoid the “THREE-Cs” effect (Compact / Cluster・Closed・Confined).
・The tables, chairs and microphones will be disinfected after your party, meeting or event ends.
・Buffet meal service will no longer be provided. As an alternative service, “New Normal Plates” is now being served.
・Our serving and kitchen staff are required to thoroughly wash and sanitize their hands.
・The hotel’s air conditioning system is equipped to provide adequate ventilation. If you would like to have the door opened during your time of use, please specify at the time of making your reservation.
・To help avoid the “THREE-Cs” effect (Compact / Cluster・Closed・Confined), we now limit the number of guests per Party, Meeting or Private room reservation to ensure safe social distancing. Please ask for details about the new reduced capacity of each room.
For our staff:
・Mandatory wearing of surgical masks is required of our staff before reporting for work, while at work, and when leaving work.
・Our staff is required to self-check their health and body temperature before they show up for work.
・Mandatory hand washing and sanitization with the alcohol provided is required of our staff when they get to work.
・Our staff is required to carry a hand sanitizer.
・We have a thorough management system for those who are not feeling well. Our staff is required to take time off from work to visit a hospital if they detect any of the COVID-19 related symptoms.
・In order to minimize the risk of infection during commute to and from work, we have initiated staggered work shifts, especially among our back office staff.
・We have instructed all staff to comply with the new enhanced requirements and practice self-management.
・We recommend staggered work to prevent infection risk when commuting to and from work mainly among our back office staff.
